The Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Card for College Students is a platinum credit card that is available to students that have already built up a credit rating. Issued by CitiBank, this credit card offers the benefits of a platinum card with a range of perks available to cardholders.
Some of benefits available to cardholders include: online account related services, protection against unauthorized transactions, autopayment facilities, lost wallet service, purchase protection, extended warranty for purchases, fraud and security protection, travel accident insurance, car rental insurance, medical referral services, legal referral services, emergency airline ticket replacement, emergency cash replacement, travel and emergency services, discounts on car rentals at Hertz®, and discounts on student products and services at selected retailers.
There are a number of charges associated with this credit card. These include: charges on balance transfers transactions and cash advances of five dollars or three percent, with a maximum charge of $75.00 on balance transfer transactions. Other charges include $35 charge on over the limit accounts and late repayment fees of between $15 and $39 based on credit card balance.
This credit card offer a special 0% interest rate for the first six months, and this applies to balance transfers, new purchases, and cash advances. After this, the interest rate rises to 15.49 percent variable on new purchases, and for cash advances an interest rate of 20.49 percent is charged. There is also no annual fee charged on this credit card, and a twenty day grace period is offered.
