Credit cards with no annual fee

Years ago when credit cards were still in their infancy, annual fees were the norm. But with so much competition among credit card companies, most big companies have dropped their annual fees, especially on their regular card holder accounts. Although no annual fees may seem like a good thing – and they are – credit card companies will always find a way to make up what is lost somewhere else. User fees, higher interest rates or less privileges are a common side effect of credit cards with no annual fees. It is always good to find out what the credit card offers you before you sign any agreement with them so that it does not come as a shock when you find out about their hidden fees. Credit cards with no annual fees can a great thing for people who are disciplined enough to only use their credit cards when absolutely necessary and then pay off their entire balance at the end of the month. People who do this are actually benefit from credit cards that offer no annual fees. Their higher interests rates will not make a difference and most hidden fees are usually charged to accounts with outstanding balances. However for those people who know that they will have an outstanding balance at the end of the month then a no annual fee credit card may not be the right credit card for you. If you are going to be carrying a balance then you would be better off with a low interest credit card. The annual fee charged on such a card will still be much lower than the interest that you would otherwise we paying on a no annual fee interest credit card. In the end you have to choose the credit card that is right for you.
