In order to qualify for this card, you must have a very good credit history. This credit card offers cardholder rewards in the form of air miles. Cardholders can earn one mile for each dollar spent on the credit card, and two miles on credit card purchases at US Airways. A bonus ten thousand miles is awarded with the first purchase made on the card, and there is no yearly limit or expiry date. These miles can be redeemed against travel with US Airways, making the card ideal for those that use or intend to use this airline regularly.
In addition to offering this rewards program, the US Airways® Dividend Miles® Visa® Platinum Card also provides some standard benefits, which include: online account services, the availability of $99 domestic companion tickets (subject to terms and conditions) awarded for up to two people each year, discounts and reduced mileage requirements for specified flights, a discount of $75 on a new membership to the US Airways Club, travel accident insurance, medical and legal referral services, emergency airline ticket replacement, and lost luggage insurance. There is an annual fee of $90 on this credit card, but there is no fee for extra cards for additional cardholders, and there is a grace period of twenty days. The card offers a six months introductory interest rate of 1.90 percent, and this applies to new purchases and balance transfers. After the introductory period, the standard interest rate rises to 15.49 percent variable. Cash advances are charged at a variable interest rate of 21.49 percent. There is a maximum credit limit of $25,000 on this card.
A number of fees are also attached to this card. Late payment fees can vary depending on the balance of the card, and range between $19 and $39. If you exceed your credit limit, the charge applied is $35. There is no fee charged on balance transfers transactions, but cash advances are charged at the greater of three percent or ten dollars. |
