The Universal Entertainment Student MasterCard® is a credit card that is issued by Chase and is designed for students with a good credit rating. This is a rewards based credit card, and students can earn points for making purchases on the credit card. One point is awarded for each dollar spent on general purchases using the credit card. Two points can be earned per dollar spent at Universal, and these points can be redeemed against various types of merchandise such as DVDs, CDs, and concert tickets. Points are valid for a five year period, and the amount of points earned in any year must be equal to or less than the credit limit of the cardholder.

This credit card offers an introductory rate of 0% on both balance transfers and new purchases, and this is for a six month period. There is no annual fee charged on this credit card. The interest rate charged on new purchases once the six month introductory period has expired will revert to the standard variable rate listed in the table above. For cash advances, students will be charged at 21.49 percent variable.

The Universal Entertainment Student MasterCard® also offers a range of additional cardholder benefits. Some of the additional perks offered to cardholders include: discounts at participating theme parks, free entertainment services and goods, discounts at selected retailers, travel accident insurance, car rental insurance, travel insurance, Internet account management, lost and stolen card reporting, fraud and security protection, and purchase protection.
